WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF AIKIDO!
The first few weeks in any new activity are always the hardest, as you adjust to a new environment, new friends, strange customs and behaviors. To try and help, we put together a downloadable introductory booklet for you to find useful information about the Art of Aikido, our organisation, the Instructors and the Clubs.
Just wanted to remind all interested, that Simone Chierchini Sensei 5th Dan, will be teaching a class in Sligo on Tuesday 25th, 19:00 sharp. Venue: The CRIB, Rockwood parade (by river) - map and contact on www.sligo.aikikai.ie. All welcome! Please attend!

Sligo Aikikai has found a new venue. Trainings will take place in The C.R.I.B., Rockwood Parade, Sligo. Training times are Tuesdays 19:00 - 20:30 and Fridays 19:00 - 20:30 and starting Tue 28th. Please come in and help us make the back to training a success. For more info visit www.sligo.aikikai.ie

A Special Meeting of the Aikido Organisation of Ireland has been called by the AOI Executive Board. This meeting will be held in occasion of the 13th Summer Course on Sat 04/07/2009 at 6pm in The Harp Tavern, Quay Street, Sligo. On the agenda the election of a new Executive Board for the remainder of the year. Members interested in running for election are asked to come forward as soon as possible contacting the Secretary. All 18+ members are invited to attend and vote for their preferred candidates. Those who will not attend may delegate another member to represent them at the meeting.
