IMPORTANT: THIS IS AN AIKIDO TRAINING PROGRAM, NOT A JOB SEEKING NOR A
TOURISM ORIENTATED INITIATIVE
Aikido Exchange Program participants are required to take pat into ALL
Aikido classes during their stay, no exception made. However, training
does not end on the mat, and Exchange participants are also expected
to participate daily in various duties from dojo maintenance
(including cooking and cleaning) to assisting in dojo operations and
special projects.
Important: This is not a Job Seeking nor a Tourism orientated
initiative. Even though we are not precluding potential participants
from taking up work or visiting the area, this has to be done OUTSIDE
TRAINING TIMES and when it doesn clash with other dojo requirements.
Enrolment Qualifications:
• Both men and women are eligible.
• Applicants must be over 18 of age.
• Healthy physical condition and the ability to train daily.
• Individual personal accident insurance in good standing.
• Financial capability to support oneself for the length of the designated term.
• Religious and other lifestyle preferences are private and should be
kept to yourself.
• The Aikido Organisation of Ireland reserves the right to refuse anyone
from participating at the dojo in the interest of safety and welfare
of other students and regular members.
Meals and Personal Expenses:
Meals are not included. Other personal expenses such as travel and
laundry are each individual's responsibility.
Applicants from Countries Outside of the European Union
The Aikido Organisation of Ireland does not act as a sponsor for visa
applications. Applicants must obtain their own visas (if required) for
their intended stay in the European Union. All participants at the
Aikido Organisation of Ireland Aikido Exchange Program must be in full
legal status with EU Immigration regulations.
How to enroll
Occupancy varies throughout the year as individual terms do not begin
at the same time. It is best to apply early for the time you wish to
participate in the program. It is suggested to include a first- and
second-choice of when you would like to begin your term.
Please send a letter of request to enter the program that includes a
personal resume, starting dates, tentative length of stay, and a brief
explanation of why you wish to enter the program. If you prefer to
apply online, please e-mail us at info@aikikai.ie. Your request will
be dealt with promptly.
